The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing facade design solutions, preparing detailed drawings, and coordinating with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure designs are technically sound, cost-effective, and compliant with project specifications and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare facade design concepts, shop drawings, and detailed construction drawings.
Develop aluminum, curtain wall, glazing, cladding, and facade system details.
Coordinate with project engineers, estimators, and production teams to ensure design feasibility.
Review architectural drawings and convert them into workable facade solutions.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and international standards.
Prepare material take-offs and assist in design-related technical submissions.
Participate in design coordination meetings with consultants and clients.
Support value engineering and design optimization exercises.
Revise drawings based on consultant comments and site requirements.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
.
Experience
3-7 years
of experience as a Facade Designer, preferably in Qatar or the GCC.
Strong experience in aluminum and facade systems including curtain wall, windows, doors, louvers, and cladding.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
(mandatory).
Knowledge of
Revit
,
SolidWorks
, or facade design software is an advantage.
Good understanding of facade materials, fabrication methods, and installation processes.
Competencies
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred
Experience with high-rise or complex facade projects.
Knowledge of Qatar construction standards and authority approvals.
