Job Description

The Role

Lead and manage facade design development (curtain walls, cladding, skylights, glazing, steel & aluminium structures). Coordinate between consultants, architects, contractors, and fabrication teams to ensure design intent is achieved. Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and fabrication details. Ensure compliance with local building codes, international facade standards, and project specifications. Manage value engineering initiatives to optimize facade design and cost. Oversee design interface between structural, MEP, and architectural disciplines. Conduct design risk assessments related to facade and fabrication works. Lead a team of design engineers, draftsmen, and liaise with production/fabrication departments. Provide technical guidance during installation and construction phases. Ensure timely delivery of design packages aligned with project schedules.



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master's preferred). 8-15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in facade & glass design management. Strong knowledge of curtain walls, glazing systems, aluminium & steel fabrication. Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Tekla, SolidWorks, etc.). Strong understanding of facade performance criteria (thermal, acoustic, wind load, fire safety). Proven track record in managing design for high-rise towers, airports, shopping malls, or mega facade projects. Excellent coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
