Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on
Fabrication Engineer
with a strong foundation in shop floor operations and practical knowledge of architectural metal fabrication. You'll act as the technical bridge between design, production, and site teams, ensuring shop-level execution aligns with drawings and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Review workshop and installation drawings in detail; flag issues proactively
Prepare and issue cutting lists, welding plans, and assembly instructions
Supervise fabrication activities including CNC cutting, forming, welding, and surface finishing
Ensure fabrication work aligns with drawing specifications and tolerance limits
Collaborate with procurement and store teams for timely availability of materials and consumables
Provide on-site technical support during installation and coordinate with site supervisors
Track production output and report progress against targets
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Fabrication Engineering
2-5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing engineering
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks familiarity preferred)
Practical experience with fabrication machines and tools (CNC laser, press brake, TIG/MIG welding, etc.)
Familiarity with structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and brass working
Strong organizational and technical problem-solving skills
