This role involves developing creative and technically sound facade designs, preparing comprehensive documentation, and collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure design excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development
Create innovative and practical facade designs that align with architectural vision, functional requirements, and budgetary constraints.
Translate project briefs into concept designs and detailed facade solutions.
3D Modeling & Visualization
Develop 3D models and visual representations using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and other design tools.
Produce accurate and visually compelling renderings for internal review and client presentations.
Material Selection & Research
Recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and facade systems based on performance, sustainability, durability, and aesthetic considerations.
Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and material advancements.
Technical Documentation
Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, fabrication details, and installation documents.
Ensure all documentation complies with local building codes and international standards.
Collaboration & Coordination
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained throughout construction.
Participate in design workshops and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
Site Support
Conduct site visits to review installation quality, provide technical support, and ensure alignment with the approved design.
Address and resolve on-site design-related issues.
Client Engagement
Present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
Incorporate feedback and refine designs to meet client expectations and project objectives.
Design Solutions & Problem-Solving
Resolve design challenges by providing innovative, functional, and cost-effective solutions.
Balance aesthetic vision with engineering practicality.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Facade Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facade design or related architectural disciplines.
Proficient in design and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong understanding of facade systems, materials, fabrication techniques, and sustainability principles.
Knowledge of relevant building codes, fire safety, thermal performance, and structural integration.
Excellent visualization, presentation, and technical drawing skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
