What You'll Do

• Lead geological studies for play updates, tight and deep gas reservoir maturation, well log interpretation, correlations, and prospect evaluations.
• Prepare and review regional maps, play maps, volumetric assessments, exploration well proposals, and basin analysis studies.
• Propose and oversee consultant-led geological studies, ensuring scope of work compliance and quality deliverables.
• Recommend data gathering activities such as cores, logs, seismic, or deeper exploration in development wells.
• Liaise with software vendors and stay updated on latest geological technologies and tools.
• Coordinate data trades and exchanges with regional companies to enhance ADNOC's geological database.
• Mentor and develop UAE national geologists and junior staff through structured programs and progress monitoring.
• Assist with exploration bid rounds, data packages, roadshows, and technical presentations.
• Ensure corporate databases are updated and calibrated with received geological and well data.
• Contribute to strategic planning, budgets, risk registers, audit reports, and management documents related to exploration.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related science discipline.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in exploration geology including play evaluation, prospect ranking, well proposals, and maturation studies.
• Strong expertise in hydrocarbon resource evaluation, geoscience software, and regional exploration workflows.
• Proven ability to lead studies, supervise consultants, and integrate multidisciplinary data sets.
• Effective communicator with experience liaising with OPCOs, JV partners, and shareholders.
• Knowledge of HSE and sustainability practices relevant to exploration projects.
