About the Role

We are an accounting and audit consultancy firm in Dubai seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage client accounting, VAT, and corporate tax compliance.

The role primarily involves working on various client accounts for year-end finalization, audit coordination, and tax filings, with only minimal internal accounting work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax registration and filing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Handle accounting and financial records for multiple client portfolios. Prepare financial statements and schedules for year-end audit and coordinate with external auditors. Manage VAT and Corporate Tax (CT) compliance for clients, including: Registration and deregistration Preparation and filing of VAT and CT returns Maintaining tax records and ensuring FTA compliance Finalize accounts up to trial balance and assist in management reports. Perform reconciliations (bank, supplier, customer, intercompany). Support clients during audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries. Maintain proper documentation and working papers for all client engagements. Assist senior accountants and managers in ad-hoc client and compliance tasks.

Requirements

o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. o Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE (preferably in an accounting or audit firm). o Strong understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax (CT) regulations and filing processes. o Experience in account finalization and coordination with auditors. o Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software. o Strong Excel skills and attention to detail. o Good communication and time management skills. o Ability to handle multiple client assignments and meet deadlines independently.
