  • Responsible for managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, inbound and outbound coordination, accurate order processing, and timely dispatch. Accountable for processing and coordinating customs documentation, including Bills of Entry, ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth clearance. Maintain KPI adherence while supporting process improvements, cost optimization, and business growth initiatives. Responsibilities:
  • Process customs documentation, zajel submission, claim submission, including preparation and submission of Bills of Entry. Compile and verify complete document sets, coordinate with assigned PROs for customs inspection, arrange transporter bookings, and ensure timely delivery. Share Proof of Delivery (POD) with the operator and relevant stakeholders to confirm successful completion of shipments.
  • Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) on a daily basis to ensure accurate supply chain visibility. Prepare and share monthly operational reports with customers, including inventory movements and transaction summaries. Generate and process billing for storage and handling charges in accordance with monthly transaction volumes and contractual agreements.
  • Prepare and process Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and Goods Dispatch Notes (GDN) to ensure accurate recording of inbound and outbound warehouse transactions. Generate and affix warehouse labels for proper identification, traceability, and inventory control. Manage warehouse space utilization through effective space planning, bin allocation, and stock placement to optimize storage capacity and operational efficiency.
  • Procure warehouse storage rates and suitable facilities for new customer enquiries by evaluating space availability, service capabilities, and cost competitiveness. Coordinate with warehouse vendors and internal stakeholders, and share finalized rates and facility details with the sales team to support new business development and customer proposals.
  • Control Jebel Ali Free Zone customs inventory on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. Identify and filter restricted products, preventing unauthorized items from being entered into inventory. Screen and classify dangerous goods (DG) and ensure assignment only to approved and compliant warehouse facilities. Prepare and issue Free Zone documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and delivery advice, to support smooth movement and clearance of Free Zone goods.
  • Ensure strict compliance with customer SOPs, internal policies, and AIT operational KPIs, while supporting additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Other Skills We Hope to See:
  • Graduate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, inventory tracking, and operational reconciliations
  • 1-2 years' experience in logistics, specializing in JAFZA inventory control and Free Zone warehouse operations.
  • Strong basic math and geography skills, with the ability to analyze numerical data, identify patterns, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of DG/GDP requirements; CargoWise proficiency preferred (Basic Cargo knowledge an advantage).
  • Sound understanding, or ability to quickly learn, ocean freight movement, vendors, container types, equipment, Incoterms, regulatory requirements, pricing, service routings, and shipment profitability.
  • Basic knowledge of country regulations and AIT policies/procedures, with a focus on risk mitigation for customers and the company.
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently in one on one settings.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment.
  • Demonstrated team orientation, respect for colleagues, and alignment with core values.
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of ownership, accountability, and independence.
