Tylers' Grub & Grog is a new venture set to open in Dubai Maritime City - Port Rashid, early next month. This Aussie family run business will be one of a kind in the area - being the only fully licensed stand-alone hangout with a menu and vibe second to none. Brought to you by the owners of the multi award winning "Stomping Grounds Cafe in Jumeriah 1" it is sure to have the recipe for success! Ideal for events, private gatherings, a night out with friends or just an intimate evening...this place will not disappoint. With a seating capacity of over 200 pax which will be open from mid-day to the wee hours of the morning, we are seeking an entire pre-opening team of professional Chefs and FOH staff. Preparation, cooking and presentation of all culinary dishes prepared in the kitchen.
Good time management skills, ensuring that meals go out on time and the work areas remain clean and orderly.
Stock & inventory control.
Dealing with suppliers, receiving and checking delivery of supplies to ensure accuracy with orders and quality control.
Prepare Recipe Cards and costing.
Manage Rostering.
Ensure that Opening and Closing Procedures are carried out every day.
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
Ensuring you and your team has high food hygiene standards.
Follow the rules of health and safety in the kitchen and troubleshooting any problems that may arise.
Being first in command, you should be able to manage a small team of kitchen staff.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace at all times. Required Skills: This will suit someone who's got bags of stamina and enjoys the fast pace of a busy kitchen.
You also need to be able to stay calm and work as part of a team.
Oozing creativity with excellent cooking and presentation skills.
A cool head and the ability to delegate appropriately.
Currently working in a similar position for at least 1 year.
Currently located in the UAE a must, Dubai is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills.
The ability to work with all levels of internal staff, customers and suppliers. Qualifications: Useful qualifications may include the below or equivalent: Hospitality & Catering Diploma, Diploma in Commercial Cookery, International Culinary Arts, BTEC HND in professional cookery etc; would be an advantage. A foundation degree in culinary arts and any health and safety and food hygiene courses, HACCP Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED20,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
