DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:Selling Philosophy

The ability to aggressively pursue and evaluate, solicit, sell and confirm business as required to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.
The ability to make telephone and personal sales calls on accounts. Follow up promptly with appropriate action to support telephone and personal sales calls.
The ability to solicit and service Travel Agent, Wholesale, Tour Operator, Negotiated, Worldwide Corporate and Transient accounts.
The ability to negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
The ability to understand and use the various sales tools the company provides and to follow and support all Palazzo Versace MOS.
The ability to demonstrate the energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal goals.
The ability to sell all hotel products and services.

Product Knowledge and Training

The ability to demonstrate thorough product knowledge when communicating with customers.
The ability to maintain and utilize a thorough knowledge of the competition.
The ability to conduct facility tours.
The ability to actively participate in training opportunities.

Sales Administration

The ability to create permanent files for all groups with strong room night potential.
The ability to maintain assigned files in accordance with PVD MOS.
The ability to participate in sales meetings and industry related organizations to represent the hotel and company.
The ability to maintain an effective plan of correspondence.
The ability to follow-up on progress of booked business and key account performance.
The ability to report on a monthly basis against plan/goal.
The ability to maintain and utilize various computer software programs.
The ability to utilize property business reports to assist in achieving personal and property goals and objectives.
The ability to coordinate special events, promotions and publicity activities as assigned.

Business Development and Prospecting

The ability to follow-up on all leads, maintain a good relationship and generate Revenue.
The ability to achieve weekly prospecting goal consistently.
The ability to qualify prospective leads and accounts as to profitability.
The ability to develop and maintain individual account plans for all top accounts that are designed to maximize account production.
The ability to develop data and recommended programs to meet clients’ needs as well as recommend alternate proposals.
The ability to conduct research activities to identify frequent business travelers and to act as a liaison to insure all operational and marketing aspects of their program is coordinated.

Prioritizing and Time Management

The ability to treat active selling, solicitation and business development as #1 job priority.
The ability to allocate time and effort on accounts, based on their potential.
The ability to schedule activities effectively.
The ability to handle sales calls and trips in a cost and time efficient manner.
