Job Summary: Looking for an Estimator (GRP/GRC) in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Key Details:

• Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, as well as other project documentation to understand the scope and requirements of GRP/GRC projects
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for GRP/GRC projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, as well as any additional resources needed
• Calculate and determine the quantities of GRP/GRC materials required for each project, ensuring proper utilization and minimal waste
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favorable terms to enhance project cost efficiency
• Monitor and manage project budgets throughout the estimation process, ensuring adherence to cost constraints and providing value engineering suggestions when appropriate
• Keep track of historical cost data and update the estimating database regularly to enhance the accuracy of future estimates
• Suggest alternative materials, construction methods, or design modifications to optimize project costs without compromising quality
• Prepare comprehensive bid documentation, including detailed breakdowns of estimated costs and supporting documentation for client review
• Identify potential risks and uncertainties in projects and develop strategies to mitigate them during the estimation phase
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GRP/GRC technology, construction practices, and market trends

Job Qualifications and Experience

• Should hold a Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• At least 3+ years of proven experience as an estimator, preferably with a focus on GRP/GRC projects
• Good knowledge of GRP/GRC materials, manufacturing processes, as well as construction techniques
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
• Solid understanding of construction codes, standards, as well as regulations related to GRP/GRC applications
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Must be familiar with project management principles and practices
