Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior design projects, including materials, furnishings, fixtures, labor, and installation costs. Analyze design plans, specifications, and client briefs to define the scope of work and required materials. Perform quantity take-offs for various design elements such as flooring, cabinetry, textiles, and lighting. Conduct market research to assess current pricing for materials and labor specific to interior design. Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure estimates reflect project requirements. Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for client meetings. Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering while maintaining design intent. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle and assist in variance analysis. Prepare detailed reports summarizing estimates and financial projections. Maintain an up-to-date database of historical costs and preferred vendors for materials and services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a

world-ranked university

. Minimum

8 years of professional experience

, with proven expertise in cost management within a

premium interior design company

. Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, tendering, contracts, and claims. Dubai-based, with a strong understanding of local construction and design industry standards. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.
