Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs based on drawings, specifications, and site requirements. Analyze project plans to identify labor, materials, and time requirements. Source and negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors to obtain competitive prices. Conduct cost comparisons, risk assessments, and value engineering. Monitor project costs, track variations, and prepare valuation reports. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure cost control. Assist in contract administration and documentation. Prepare interim and final payment applications and manage project cash flow.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor (preferably in construction, MEP etc Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost structures. Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, CostX, MS Excel, AutoCAD). Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred:

Experience in both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying. Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards. Membership with RICS or equivalent professional body (advantageous but not mandatory).
