Job Description

We are looking for an Estimator who will prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fitout and villa renovation projects, contributing essential expertise to both pre- and post-tender activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of the Dubai market and local subcontractor pricing, supported by advanced skills in quick quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and ERP or estimation software. This is an urgent requirement for a proactive team member who excels in building scope documents, supplier/contractor relationships, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for all trades related to joinery, furniture, civil, and MEP fitout and villa renovation projects.
- Conduct quick, precise quantity take-offs and create detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) using ERP or other relevant estimation software.
- Build comprehensive scopes of work for suppliers and subcontractors as part of RFQ processes.
- Gather, analyze, and benchmark current market prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain a robust contact list for suppliers and contractors.
- Create labor and material cost sheets for any given interior trade, including value engineering assessments.
- Support all aspects of pre-tender and post-tender operations, submitting competitive and credible quotations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, project management, and site teams to validate and optimize project costs.
- Perform site visits for measurement verification and scope definition, as necessary.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3-5 years recent experience as an estimator in Dubai's interior fitout and villa renovation sector.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, estimation software, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, or similar computer applications.
- Demonstrated ability to build and update supplier and contractor databases for market pricing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven negotiation and client-facing ability.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant discipline preferred.
- Professional estimating certification (e.g., RICS) is an advantage.
- Able to multitask, work to tight deadlines, and troubleshoot quickly in a fast-paced setting.
- Results-focused, with strong analytical skills and acute attention to detail.
