Estimation / Tendering Reporting To: Estimation Manager / Project Director Job
Summary:
The Estimator - Fit Out is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for interior fit-out projects. The role requires a strong understanding of materials, finishes, joinery, MEP coordination, and overall fit-out execution processes. The candidate should be able to analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine the total cost of works efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyse tender drawings, specifications, and project scope to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), quantity take-offs, and material breakdowns for fit-out projects.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Develop and submit competitive tender proposals within the required timeframe.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for technical clarifications.
Ensure all estimates include accurate pricing for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontract works.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Prepare cost comparisons, rate analyses, and project budgets.
Assist project teams in post-tender negotiations and cost control during execution.
Maintain an updated database of suppliers, subcontractors, and material costs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Interior Design.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience
as an estimator in
interior fit-out or joinery
projects.
Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery works, and MEP coordination in fit-out projects.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software
.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good communication and team coordination skills.
