Job Summary:

The Estimator (Fit-out) will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out and refurbishment projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of materials, market rates, and construction processes. The candidate should be able to interpret drawings, prepare BOQs, and provide competitive and accurate pricing within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for fit-out projects. Prepare detailed

Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

and cost estimates for all project components (civil, finishes, MEP coordination, joinery, etc.). Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to ensure accurate costing. Conduct

site visits

to understand project requirements and conditions. Prepare

cost comparison reports

and participate in value engineering exercises. Ensure timely submission of tenders and quotations. Work closely with project managers and quantity surveyors for post-tender clarification. Maintain an updated database of material, labor, and subcontractor rates. Prepare

budgetary and feasibility estimates

for potential projects. Participate in

client meetings

and presentations when required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

,

Quantity Surveying

, or equivalent. Minimum

10 years of experience

in estimation, specifically in

interior fit-out / joinery / refurbishment projects

in the GCC. Strong understanding of

fit-out materials, finishes, MEP coordination

, and local market pricing. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, Planswift, etc.)

. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines with high accuracy.

Preferred:

UAE or GCC experience with reputed fit-out contractors. Knowledge of local suppliers, materials, and regulations. RICS certification or similar professional qualification (optional but preferred).
