Job Description

An

Estimation Manager

in the interior fit?out sector leads cost estimating, tendering, pricing strategies, and estimation teams for fit?out and joinery projects in the UAE. This is a senior role focused on ensuring competitive, accurate, and profitable bids on commercial, residential, hospitality or luxury interior contracts.

Typical Responsibilities



Lead

end?to?end estimation and tendering process

for fit?out projects (from pre?tender to contract award).

Prepare detailed cost estimates, take?offs, BOQs, and pricing

for all interior fit?out scope (joinery, finishes, fixtures, MEP coordination).

Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents

to determine accurate quantities and scope.

Source and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotes

, and negotiate pricing to achieve best value.

Manage and mentor a team of estimators

, assigning tasks and ensuring quality and timely delivery. Conduct

value engineering to optimise cost without compromising quality

. Support project teams with commercial insights and risk identification. Sometimes participate in

pre?bid meetings and site visits

.

Typical Qualifications & Skills

Education



Bachelor's degree in

Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture

or related field.

Experience



Generally

8-15+ years total experience

, with

significant UAE/GCC fit?out estimation experience

(often 10+ for senior manager roles). Experience across

commercial, residential, hospitality and high?end interior fit?out sectors

is an advantage.

Technical Skills



Strong knowledge of

fit?out materials, processes, labour rates, joinery, finishes

and UAE market pricing. Proficiency with

estimation software

(e.g., Candy, C?Soft, CostX) plus

Excel

,

AutoCAD

, and sometimes Revit. Familiarity with standard tender procedures, BOQ preparation and contract documentation.

Soft / Managerial Skills



Strong

leadership and team management

skills. Excellent

analytical, negotiation, and commercial decision?making

ability. Good

communication skills

to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Ability to

handle multiple bids/tenders

under tight deadlines.
