The Estimation Engineer (Fit-Out) is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing tender documents, and providing technical and commercial inputs for interior fit-out projects. The role involves coordination with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications for fit-out projects.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs (QTO) for all architectural, civil, joinery, and MEP fit-out works.
Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in line with project requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, subcontractor services, and equipment.
Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness.
Apply value engineering techniques to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Analyze project risks, constraints, and assumptions for cost impact.
Review and interpret construction drawings, sketches, and specifications.
Assist in preparing technical and commercial bid proposals for submission.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for accurate inputs.
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to get the best market rates.
Attend pre-tender meetings, site visits, and clarifications with clients or consultants.
Support contract negotiations and finalization with the commercial team.
Prepare cost breakdowns and detailed clarifications for awarded projects.
Monitor project cost performance during execution for alignment with estimates.
