Hiring: Estimation Engineer - Fire Systems (Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting)

Are you a technical expert with a sharp eye for detail and costs? We are looking for an

Estimation Engineer

to join our team in the UAE. You will play a critical role in our pre-sales cycle, transforming qualified leads into precise, competitive, and profitable technical proposals.

Working at the heart of our technical sales process, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) that align with UAE Civil Defence standards and client requirements. You would also prepare the costing required for proposal/quote development.

The Role at a Glance

The Estimation Engineer sits between our Sales and Operations teams. Once a lead is qualified by our Sales Coordinator, you take ownership of the technical solution.

You will analyze requirements, coordinate site surveys, and source pricing to ensure our bids are both technically sound and commercially winning.

Key Responsibilities

Estimation & Proposal Development:

Prepare detailed and accurate BOQs and BOMs for Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, and specialized suppression systems.

Technical Analysis:

Review tender documents, architectural/MEP drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of work.

Internal Coordination:

Actively collaborate with the

Sales Team

to understand client needs and the

Survey Team

to verify on-site conditions and measurements.

Vendor Management:

Obtain and negotiate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive material pricing.

Compliance Check:

Ensure all estimated designs and components comply with the

UAE Fire & Life Safety Code of Practice

and NFPA standards.

Value Engineering:

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or regulatory compliance.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

.

Industry Experience:

3-5 years of experience in estimation specifically within the

Fire Systems

industry in the UAE.

Software Proficiency:

Expert knowledge of MS Excel is essential.

Location:

Currently based in the UAE and available for interviews.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Pump Room, and Gas Suppression systems etc. Familiarity with UAE Civil Defense approval processes. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines. Excellent communication skills for coordinating between departments and vendors.
