We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-driven
female Estimation Engineer.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and estimating costs associated with the design and implementation of control systems across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, budget alignment, and timely proposal delivery in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation
Develop precise and competitive cost estimates for control system projects, including hardware, software, installation, and integration elements.
Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to support accurate and feasible project proposals.
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed bills of materials (BOMs).
Technical Analysis & Support
Interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project scope.
Coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and clients to validate system needs and technical details.
Contribute technical input on BMS configurations, such as HVAC controls, lighting automation, security systems, and energy management solutions.
Proposal & Bid Management
Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender documentation for control and automation projects.
Ensure all required control system components are properly specified and included.
Collaborate with the sales team to support responses to RFPs and RFQs.
Planning & Coordination
Provide time estimates for project execution and assist in project scheduling.
Work closely with project managers to align estimates with cost plans and timelines.
Identify project risks and suggest mitigation strategies during planning.
Vendor Engagement
Source quotations from vendors and suppliers for materials, components, and services.
Assess supplier proposals for compliance with project and financial requirements.
Budget Oversight
Track project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Recommend value-engineering options without compromising system quality.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare clear documentation for cost breakdowns, designs, and estimation files.
Maintain organized records of all quotes, proposals, and estimation documents for reference.
Client Communication
Engage with clients to gather requirements and propose appropriate BMS solutions.
Present estimates and proposals, explaining technical and cost details clearly.
Support customer satisfaction throughout the estimation and pre-sales process.
Regulatory & Technical Standards
Ensure all control system solutions meet relevant industry standards and local regulations.
Stay informed about evolving technologies and updates in BMS and control systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in estimation or project engineering within the control systems domain.
Solid knowledge of controllers, sensors, HVAC, lighting control, and integrated BMS solutions.
Experience with SCADA, energy management platforms, and control panel design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other estimation or design software tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
Must be based in Qatar with a valid QID and ready to join.
