Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation & Billing Engineer to join our construction team. The candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, client and subcontractor billing, and cost control activities across construction projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge, and coordination with site and management teams.

Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesEstimation Responsibilities

Study tender drawings, specifications, and scope of work Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis, and budget forecasts Collect and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations Assist in tender preparation and submissions Identify risks and opportunities for cost optimization
Billing Responsibilities

Measure executed work at site and maintain measurement records Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) bills and Final bills Prepare variation and extra item bills with proper justification Verify and certify subcontractor bills Ensure billing compliance with contract terms and specifications
Cost Control & Reporting

Track budget vs actual costs Monitor quantities and cost overruns Prepare monthly billing and cost reports Support management in financial and project reviews
Coordination & Documentation

Coordinate with site engineers, planning, QA/QC, and procurement teams Maintain proper billing and estimation documentation Support audits, client verifications, and final account settlement
Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in estimation and billing in contracting companies Strong knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, measurements, and contracts Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle - preferred) Good communication and coordination skills Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Preferred Skills

Experience in [Civil / Structural/MEP / Fit-out] projects Knowledge of contract types (Lump Sum, Item Rate, Design & Build) Exposure to claims and variation management
