Role Summary:
The Sustainability/Estidama expert will provide technical support on projects and have proven skills and a depth of experience in delivering sustainable solutions for Buildings and Communities. The role will require the successful candidate to deliver a range of sustainable framework and design projects by contributing to the conception of creative, contextually responsive, and economically viable strategies and solutions. This role will require the coordination of both internal and external project resources.
Role Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on green building technology and ratings systems, primarily the Estidama and LEED rating tool
• Develop sustainability frameworks and strategies for multiple scales of projects
• Tracking rating system and building strategy processes, writing, and editing reports, and presenting LEED or sustainability frameworks to clients, design teams, and contractor
• Demonstrate research experience, as this job will likely demand both directed and individual research into architectural materials and technology, building services systems, green building and urban policy, and social and human comfort issues
• Develop presentation material for reports, presentation, and plans
• Sketching and digital illustrations of building concepts may be expected to visualize design strategies for client presentations and other external needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a built environment design, Engineering or planning field - E.E. architectural or building engineering
• Knowledge of LEED rating systems
• Knowledge or Estidama Rating System
• LEED Accredited Professional preferred
• Proficiency in use of design software, such as SketchUp, Ecotect, etc would be useful
• Previous professional or academic research experience, such as masters degree or higher in Mechanical, Architectural, Electrical, Building Science, Policy or other field in the built environment preferred
• Proficiency in use of software like Excel, Publisher or other desktop publishing platform, interactive Adobe PDFs
• Understanding of Adobe Products is beneficial (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
