About The Job
The Joinery Estimator plays an essential role in
supporting project planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes specific to joinery and woodworking projects
. Analyzing project drawings, specifications, and scope of works Collaborating with Design and Technical Team to clarify project details and specifications.
Determining the total cost of materials equipment utilities and labour for events, exhibitions and fit out projects
Budget preparation
Researching construction documents and analyzing specifications
Preparing estimates for planning organizing and scheduling project work
Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions
Calculate standard labour hours necessary to produce units or to complete project
Track projects throughout its course to recommend budget adjustments of the project
Predict the expense of the future projects or products by analyzing monetary costs and other factors to provide good estimate for the project
Preparing estimates to meet project goals such as setting work hours sequencing tasks obtaining materials and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors
Ensuring that the relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a deadline
Regularly reporting to the Management and keeping clients updated on the project status
Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates
Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques
Collaborating with other teams conducting site visits when required
