We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in joinery and interior fit-out to oversee project execution, ensuring high-quality workmanship, timely delivery, and budget adherence. The role involves managing site activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising day to day site operations and solving problems raised during works. Man power allocation in daily basis as per site requirements Provide updates on project documentation to operation manager and project manager. Checks the Bill of Quantities, report on site progress, activities, etc. Instructing supervisors/labours to execute the works as per the standard drawings and specifications Review and update all authorities NOCs /Permits and approvals Coordination with Client, Consultant and various Authorities. Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records. Prepare the baseline program within the schedule / duration. Follow up & prepare contractor submittals. Check of Shop drawings, material submittals etc Overall supervision of Planning, Execution, Quality and Handover. Ensuring safe working. Planning and scheduling programs for the project. Scheduled planning of resources like manpower, material and machines Review BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications for procurement. Ensure cost control by optimizing material usage and reducing wastage. Coordinate with the procurement team for the timely delivery of materials and equipment. Ensure the use of proper materials, techniques, and finishes as per specifications. Verify shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements before execution Work closely with the joinery production team to ensure accurate fabrication and installation of woodwork, doors, panels, and furniture. Coordinate with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to execute projects efficiently.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5+ years' experience in fit-out and joinery projects. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, structural modifications, and finishing materials. Experience in MEP coordination is an advantage. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Valid UAE driving license preferred.

Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other design software plus MS program

Strong knowledge of woodwork, veneer, laminates, and other joinery materials.

Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and joinery shop drawings.

Sound understanding of finishing materials like marble, gypsum, glass, and metal works.

Additional Information

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Sharjah before starting work.
