Job Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.

Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to ensure test coverage.

Identify test scenarios including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Execute manual and automated test cases on different environments and platforms.

Detect, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.

Collaborate with developers and product owners to reproduce, investigate, and resolve issues.

Participate in review sessions to provide feedback on requirements, specifications, and designs.

Suggest improvements in testing processes and best practices.

Ensure software meets quality standards, performance criteria, and complies with relevant regulations.

Design and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

Support continuous integration by integrating automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product managers.

Communicate test progress, results, and risks to stakeholders.

Assist in user training and support during the rollout of new software releases.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Software Tester, or Agile Testing certifications) are a plus.

4+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, QA analysis, or quality assurance engineering.

Experience testing web, mobile, or desktop applications.

Familiarity with both manual and automated testing practices.

Proficiency in one or more tools such as: Selenium, Postman (API testing), JIRA / Bugzilla / TestRail, JUnit, TestNG, JMeter / LoadRunner (for performance testing).

Strong understanding of: SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle), Bug life cycle, Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies.

Experience with different types of testing: Functional testing, Regression testing, Integration testing, System testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Smoke/Sanity testing.

Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Java) is a plus.

Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for data validation.

Understanding of API testing, web services, and tools like Swagger.

Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.

Good written and verbal communication skills to document test cases, bugs, and communicate with stakeholders.

Team player with a collaborative mindset.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
