Role: EPG Meta-data controller

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced media professional having a strong background in channel scheduling to join our team at evision in Dhaid, Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy, consistency of Electronic Program Guide (EPG) meta-data across all platforms of evision and e&. This role ensures that all program information is up-to-date and meets the required standards for broadcast and digital distribution. The candidate will be able to produce results in a fast paced and high pressure environment. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment, while maintaining a proactive approach to identifying and resolving any issues related to the EPG meta-data and EPG services in general.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify EPG meta-data for all scheduled programs, including titles, descriptions, episode information, broadcast times and program posters on all channels across multiple evision and e& platforms including OpCos. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of meta-data across various systems and platforms. Monitor and resolve discrepancies or errors in meta-data entries in a timely manner in co-ordination with EPG providers, broadcasters and all relevant stake holders. Maintain records of all meta-data errors reported. Create schedules of all in-house channels in co-ordination with relevant internal teams. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to EPG meta-data. Generate regular reports on meta-data quality and completeness for management review. Adhere to company policies and industry standards for data management and security.

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Media, Information Technology, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in broadcast or media industry preferably with a strong background in channel scheduling.

Technical Skills:

Experience in data management, preferably within the broadcast or media industry. Should be familiar with various file types including but not limited to .CSV, .XML and .SDF. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office especially excel. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
