Job Summary

Assist to develop and implement the environmental management program on an assigned project.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project environmental requirements and in addressing environmental issues as they arise during project execution Support environmental training programs Support scopes of work and oversight of environmental subcontractors, and compiling environmental baseline information Assist to perform management and technical oversight of the onsite environmental officers and General office administration to ensure the efficient day to day functioning of the office Ensure compliance with Environmental Compliance Plans, Construction Environmental Control Plans, and other required project- specific environmental plans as required Support writing sections in option studies relating to environmental, permitting and community aspects Support internal audits to ensure compliance with procedures and plans Monitor environment regularly and record the result Maintain latest list of waste water, ventilation gas

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

0 to 4 years of experience in construction project 3 to 10 yrs of experience as Enviromental Officer Has completed 1 project Holder of Nebosh certificate Basic knowledge of environment and waste management Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants as an officer Engineering & Construction Company working experience

Knowledge or Certification

Professional in environmental management Comprehensive Knowledge for International and Local standard and procedure. Specialized knowledge about local base environmental Issues Working to basic knowledge of Word, Excel, etc.

Technical and Behavioral Competency

Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards related to the oil and gas industry Understanding of environmental management systems and their application in project execution Ability to perform environmental impact assessments and identify mitigation measures Experience with environmental monitoring and reporting Proficiency in data analysis and report writing Knowledge of hazardous waste management and disposal Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with project and construction management, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills to address environmental issues as they arise Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build relationships with stakeholders Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
