Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Safety/Environmental Officer to support our ADNOC offshore project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Promote and Demonstrate Safety Leadership


Actively champion safety culture and behaviors across all project activities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC and PMC standards.

Ensure Ethical and Integrity Standards


Maintain the highest level of ethical conduct and integrity in all safety and environmental practices.

Implement Safety and Environmental Policies


Support adherence to Delegation of Authority (DOA), HSE policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Manage and Support Safety Oversight


Provide guidance and oversight on safety and environmental aspects of client contracts, project-specific agreements, and MSAs.

Risk Assessment and Compliance


Review project documentation and contractual obligations to ensure alignment with safety and environmental standards, minimizing risk exposure.

Safety Documentation and Reporting


Prepare and deliver safety-related reports, risk registers, and compliance summaries for senior management and project teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to integrate safety and environmental controls throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement


Identify opportunities to enhance safety performance and environmental compliance, driving best practices and corrective actions where necessary.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline. 5-8 years of experience in safety and environmental management within the oil & gas or energy sector, including exposure to PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environments. Experience in office-based project support with occasional site interface is an advantage.

Technical Skills:



Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, ADNOC codes, and international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HSE reporting tools.

Core Competencies:



Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to interpret contractual requirements related to safety and environmental compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Certifications (Preferred):



NEBOSH International General Certificate, ISO Lead Auditor (14001/45001), First Aid Certification.
