Job Summary Graphic design is an incredibly influential part of advanced video production, adding a professional polish, a creative flair and pushing production to the next level. It is also a crucial part of creating advertisements, sales collateral, establishing an effective social media presence and designing websites that are both functional and breathtaking. As Vanilla Video continues to grow, we seek talented Graphic Designers. Graphic Designers at Vanilla Video (either working with us remotely or locally in Chicago) will create visual content and presentations to accompany select video projects by designing art and copy layouts. Applicants must be familiar with and preferably be fluent in using Adobe Creative Suite. This is where all of our text and image content is created and combined with our video production. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for working with clients to create content suited to their needs. The Graphic Designer will also be responsible for creating content for Vanilla Video as a part of branding and building the company. For this aspect of the job, Graphic Design will collaborate with Social Media and Marketing. Key Qualifications
- Meet with clients or the art director to determine the scope of a project
- Advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience
- Determine the message the design should portray
- Create images that identify a product or convey a message
- Develop graphics and visual or audio images for product illustrations, logos, and websites
- Create designs either by hand or using computer software packages
- Select colors, images, text style, and layout
- Present the design to clients or the art director
- Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
- Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them
