ESS Application Instructor Salary: Competitive Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships. As part of the larger programme management team, the ESS Application Instructor will be responsible for: Delivery of Typhoon ESS Application training to RSAF, Saudi National and Salam Support Solution staff. Assist all key stakeholders within the Salam operation so that they may maximise their understanding of the following capabilities: Engineering Support System Application (ESS) - Primary activity. Design, prepare and formalise a training syllabus to cover all technical aspects of the ESS Application framework. The ESS Application training packages will be designed to accommodate a modular training program to facilitate an efficient and effective targeted delivery where necessary. When not delivering ESS Applications training the Job Holder will be responsible to the Training Manager for the on-going update of the training modules in line with customer capability. The ESS Applications Instructor will support the Salam Training operation as required across all on and off base functional elements regarding Training. The ESS Applications Instructor will also participate in technical research and development in ESS System Design where necessary to enable the continuing development of all future ESS Training packages in line with Core Program or Software Design Responsibility development. The Job Holder will be expected to work with minimal supervision with the Training Manager providing task approval where appropriate. The Job Holder will be required to generate information for training reports, presentation material and fault synopsis to aid the management decision making process.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION The Job Holder is to have: Certified/ Experience in the following systems: Engineering Support System Main Operating Base Operations. Windows 7 operating systems. Completed a recognised Instructional Techniques course. Proven experience in course design/ training delivery. Experience of the development and application of Engineering processes. Demonstrable Instructor Training expertise. Excellent Man-management experience and proven people development competency. High level of inter-personal skills to coordinate a large number of diverse activities and the ability to communicate, influence and direct the decision making process at all levels. Experience as a Mentor, Coach or Instructor. KEY COMPETENCIES Familiar with, and can apply, a range of inter-personal and communication skills both internal and external to the Company. Coordination of, and experience running the Technical Authorisation database for aircraft technicians. Experience in delivering Technical Training. Have significant understanding of Technical Training Systems and training pipelines. Have experience of working in a Fast Jet Environment using RAF based maintenance management techniques. Have experience of working on an RSAF Base and understand the RSAF organisational structure. Confident and assured in situations involving customers, sub-contractors and partners. Training staff control experience, with the ability to motivate and develop small teams. Demonstrated ability to Training Delivery within major projects. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES The Job Holder will be responsible to the Training Manager for the following activities: The design, development and delivery of formal ESS Applications Training to the customer that will be approved by the accountable Salam Training Manager. The development of a suitable and agreed ESS Applications Training platform. The development of a suitable and agreed interactive data repository that supports the end user in the consolidation of key skills learnt from having attended ESS Applications training. Assist in the coordination of the ESS Applications Training at KFdAB ensuring that the quality of the ESS Application training delivery, complies with relevant discipline standards. Maintenance of areas relating to all aspects of ESS Applications training platforms. Assist in the Maintenance of ESS Applications training and performance metrics and supporting models, which allows the performance aspects of the training operations to be assessed, leading to opportunities for improvement to be identified to the business. Establishing a strong working relationship with the Taif Support Delivery Teams to ensure operational issues are raised and supported in a timely manner to maintain the safe and effective delivery of the ESS Applications Training solution. Assist in the evaluation of ESS Applications training requirements across the operation considering inter-team dependencies and customer requirements and boundaries. Accountable to the Training Manager for the training delivery associated with customer requirements and compliance with the Salam QMS.
