Job Purpose

Conduct equipment improvement studies and suggest recommendations in order to facilitate and sustain site reliability improvement process for maintaining and improving the equipment performance. Develop reliability KPIs reports to meet the targeted objectives.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
  • Contribute in criticality assessment, analysis, and studies related to the Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Instrument Protective Function (IPF) to optimize the equipment and system maintenance strategies.
  • Conduct equipment improvement studies and suggest recommendations to improve their overall availability and reliability.
  • Facilitate and contribute in Root Cause Analysis process, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions (if required) to optimize the system and equipment performance.
  • Contribute in maintaining the reliability and availability-related threats folder and recommend improvement actions.
  • Implement effectively the Plant condition monitoring programs like vibration, lube oil analysis, ultrasound, steam trap monitoring and thermography.
  • Perform periodical assessment of condition monitoring strategies and review data collection frequencies in order to optimize the current processes, if required, based on the results derived from failure mode, mean time between failure (MTBF), and bad actors.
  • Recommend reliability improvement strategies to Operations and Maintenance teams to minimize work disruptions and their associated risk and costs.
  • Participate in site acceptance tests of new equipment in line with the set specifications
  • Responsible for the regular and continuous monitoring of the system for quality and quantity of Core and Transaction data related to equipment performance entered by the Site Users.
  • Create and develop KPI reports to monitor the equipment performance and optimize the process effectiveness.
  • Identify the Plant\'s equipment bad actors and conduct the necessary studies and analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Facilitate the preventive maintenance optimization (PMO) as per its cycle duration (5 years) to optimize and improve the Plant equipment and maintenance system strategies.
Generic Accountabilities

Supervision
  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
  • Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section\'s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Performance Management
  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices
Reports
  • Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management
Internal Communications & Working Relationships
  • Regular work related contacts with the concerned Team Leader and Department Manager as required; peer Professional staff and team members on matters related to the Team\'s Policies and Processes, People, HSE and domain specific issues.
  • Contacts with the Maintenance and HSE Departments; Projects, Engineering & Technical Services, and Production Planning & Supply Divisions.
External Communications & Working Relationships
  • Contacts with ADNOC and its Group of Companies counterparts, if required, for work related matters.
  • Contacts with third party service providers.
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or an equivalent Professional Engineering Qualification.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • 6 years of experience in reliability engineering within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Background in rotating equipment maintenance, electrical equipment maintenance, vibration analysis, ultrasound, lube oil analysis, thermography, and the relevant electrical condition monitoring techniques and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability programs related to Plants to maximize equipment up-time, optimizing plants\' turnarounds/shutdowns.
  • Awareness about analysis programs such as reliability centered maintenance (RCM), risk based inspection (RBI), and instrument protected function (IPF).
  • Experience in root cause analysis techniques.
  • Technical ability in understanding the relevant codes, standards, and inspection methods.
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures and practices.
  • Strong automation/instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical static equipment background.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Planning and organizing, scheduling and coordinating, checking, examining, and recording.
Professional Certifications
  • International renowned certification in Vibration Analysis level 3. (Mandatory)
  • International certification in the field of Reliability Engineering. (Preferable).
