About The Role:

Provide effective Reliability Management Systems and guidance for Reliability Centered Maintenance activities, Root Cause Analysis, RAM analysis, Condition Monitoring, Maintenance costs and maintenance strategies. Carry out analysis of equipment performance, failure data and corrective maintenance history. Ensure that Reliability Process is established and maintained. Formulates the maintenance strategies for the assets during engineering stages and ensure it is kept updated over the life cycle of the equipment or plant.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

Provides recommendations for design enhancements to meet reliability expectations.

Provides monitoring equipment performance trends, recognizing and acting on deviations from reliability and availability targets of equipment and plant facilities.

Recommends maintenance procedures critical for the maintaining of the equipment reliability.

Provide input into the selection of spare parts in line with a risk based strategy to optimize the inventory levels and equipment reliability.

Ensures equipment repair procedures are complete and provides expert guidance to Reliability Engineers to address critical equipment performance issues.

Provides effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems

Develops engineering and technical solutions to improve reliability of systems and equipment.

Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.

Provides expert input to reliability engineering services in the form of statistical analysis, investigations and advice in the areas of asset management by applying modern risk management techniques.

Provides input to plant and equipment shutdown/turnaround and overhaul planning.

Leads reliability improvements initiatives by setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Ensures that equipment criticality is maintained as per the standard matrix and is reviewed periodically.

Undertakes Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) and Weibull Analysis studies.

Applies Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) programs to plant equipment.

To develop and implement Reliability Management System to ensure a structured consistent, multi-discipline approach to reliability and integrity improvement.

To ensuring issuing of Monthly Reliability Report.

To adhere to and implement what is required by Reliability Team as per RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) document.

Provide technical guidance, support and training on the Reliability Data Management when required.

Custodian of the Reliability database.

Study and elimination of chronic equipment reliability problems.

Analysis data coming from Condition Monitoring and follow up on corrective recommendation where required.

Provide feedback on the Reliability Data Management effectiveness and suggest improvements where necessary.

Carry out maintenance optimization workshops and reliability assessments as required

Conduct the Life Cycle Cost Analysis of assets as required

To coordinate and facilitate Reliability Centred Maintenance workshop to improve the maintenance strategies.

Track and Report Maintenance and Reliability KPI values as per standard

Perform Root Cause Analysis for the failures classified as level 1 and 2 according to RCA standard and provide guidance to other as required.

Prepare the Bad Actor Analysis Report.

Provide engineering expertise in the areas of operation, maintenance, inspection and condition monitoring.

Support in establishing a Reliability, Availability, Integrity threats data base on the common shared server.

To Develop reliability, availability and maintainability improvement plan in conjunction with Team Leader in the Maintenance Excellence and the Team Leaders of Maintenance.

To participate in the development of engineering and technical solutions to improve reliability performance of systems and equipment.

Identify the Chronic occurrence of equipment failure modes and components. Suggests the economical long - term solutions.

Drive product and process improvements based on corrective and preventive actions.

Other non-intrusive technologies that should be performed by maintenance based on condition as vibration analysis, oil analysis, equipment performance, monitoring infrared thermography, acoustic emission, ultrasound, electrical partial discharge and motor current analysis are part of the suite of maintenance practices in its predictive Maintenance strategy adopted to assure the required availability and reliability of some of its assets.

Monitoring of Reliability Services:

Reviews materials and project construction specification documents and Purchase Requisitions to ensure compliance with international codes and standards.

Performs reliability engineering studies and analyses of both small and large projects.

Actively participates in plant risk assessment studies such as HAZOP.

Audits predictive and preventive practices to identify shortcomings and actively participates in the periodic review of predictive maintenance plans.

Maintains continuous liaison with the Maintenance and Operations and supporting departments and has regular contact with vendors and equipment manufacturers to improve equipment reliability.

Ensures the monitoring and auditing of the quality and effectiveness of Preventive Maintenance (PM) strategies and ensures that the failure patterns and failure modes are incorporated into maintenance strategies.

Monitors and analyses SAP data for quality and quantity of Core and Transaction Data related to equipment performance entered by the site users.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge

10 years of experience in maintenance activities, including at least 5 year Reliability activities in the Oil and Gas industry.

Skills:

Knowledge of risk and reliability management systems

Experience in failure mode and effect analysis, with a solid understanding of failure mechanisms

Experience in troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving engineering problems independently

Effective communication and ability to write technical reports

Knowledge of international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications

Ability to apply predictive techniques

Able to apply the concept of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Risk Based Maintenance (RBM)

Experienced in Complete Maintenance Management Solution (CMMS) and reliability improvement applications e.g. SAP/Reliasoft/PROACT/TAPROOT

Knowledge of rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors and auxiliaries including associated international codes such as API and ISO

Comprehensive understanding of HSE and other regulatory compliance requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Very good knowledge of spoken and written English language. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.

Professional Certifications

Certified Training in RCM Modules preferred.

Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

Certified Reliability Engineer according to ASQ

Vibration Certification - At least Category II (Category III preferred) according to ISO 18436-2.

Lube Analysis Certification - At least Level II Machine Lubricant Analyst (MLA) (Category III preferred).

IR Thermography Certification according to ISO 18436-7 (Thermography)

Certified Six Sigma Black belt preferred.

Certified PROACT RCA preferred.
