Wood is currently recruiting for a Emiratization Manager (UAE National) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The Emiratization Manager will be responsible for overseeing the effective operation and development of the Wood Emiratization program. He / She will work closely with government stakeholders, universities, and other members of the senior leadership team to set and achieve nationalization targets.
Main responsibilities
Development and delivery of the Emiratisation agenda in the UAE
Act as focal point for our customers on the shared nationalisation journey
Ensure development plans are in place for all Emirati talent
Develop retention strategies for our Emirati talent
Work with Line Managers to increase productivity of our Emirati resources
Deal with unique Emirati employee relations issues
Build relationships with universities to attract best engineering graduates in the UAE
Build a talent pool of more experienced Emirati engineers
Represent Wood at Job Fairs, Career events, ministries
Skills / Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years spent in a supervisory or leadership role
Previous experience developing and executing nationalization programs from a strategic level
Knowledge of computer literacy and demonstrated experience working with sophisticated HRMS platforms
Current knowledge of industry practices, trends and issues
Superior interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to form professional relationships at all levels within the organization and with appropriate external stakeholders
Highly developed, communication and presentation skills
Strong management or leadership skills
Work experience within a multi-cultural environment would be advantageous
