Description:
To provide prompt and high?quality emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, life?threatening injuries, or urgent medical conditions; to stabilize patients, initiate diagnostics and treatments, collaborate with other specialties, and facilitate appropriate disposition (discharge, admission, transfer)
Responsibilities
Assess and triage patients presenting with various medical emergencies
Perform thorough physical examinations and obtain patient histories
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to aid in diagnosis
Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and provide emergency interventions
Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments as necessary
Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate additional care or consultations
Communicate with patients and their families to provide information and support
Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
Stay updated on the latest advancements and guidelines in emergency medicine through continuous learning and professional development
Requirements
Medical degree and valid license to practice as an Emergency Medicine Specialist/Consultant
Completion of a recognized residency program in emergency medicine
Proven experience in managing diverse and complex medical emergencies
Strong knowledge of emergency medicine protocols, procedures, and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
Detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
Valid certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
