Job Summary:

The ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Technical Material Submittal Engineer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, coordinating, and submitting all ELV system material and technical documentation required for project approvals. This includes product data sheets, compliance certificates, technical calculations, mock-ups, and drawings for ELV systems like CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Public Address, and others. The role requires a strong understanding of ELV systems design, vendor coordination, international standards, and client/consultant requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit detailed ELV technical material submittals as per project specifications and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, EN, ANSI, etc.). Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers to gather necessary technical documents such as datasheets, certifications, shop drawings, and compliance statements. Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQ to ensure accurate and compliant submittals. Liaise with the ELV design and engineering teams to clarify technical requirements and ensure materials meet design intent. Follow up with consultants and clients on submittal approvals, revisions, and comments. Ensure timely submission of all required technical documents in line with project timelines and milestones. Maintain a comprehensive log of all submittals, tracking status, revisions, and approvals. Ensure compliance with quality standards and proper documentation archiving. Provide technical support to procurement and installation teams for material selection and site-related clarifications. Attend coordination and technical meetings as needed. Support preparation of O&M manuals and as-built documentation for project handover.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ELV systems and material submittals in construction/MEP projects. Strong knowledge of ELV systems (CCTV, ACS, IPTV, SMATV, SCS, PA, etc.). Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards. Experience working with consultants and clients for technical approvals. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and document control systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
