Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elevator Technicians to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in electrical systems, mechanical components, commissioning processes, and motor maintenance specific to elevators. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our elevator installations throughout the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Systems:

1. Install, maintain, and repair elevator electrical control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs)

2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with elevator electrical circuits, power supplies, and safety devices

3. Implement and maintain surge protection and grounding systems

4. Upgrade and modernize elevator control panels and electrical systems

5. Conduct regular inspections of elevator electrical components to ensure compliance with UAE safety standards

Mechanical Systems:

1. Service and repair elevator mechanical components such as cables, pulleys, gears, and hydraulic systems

2. Perform precision adjustments on door operators, brakes, and leveling mechanisms

3. Conduct vibration analysis and implement corrective measures

4. Install and maintain various types of elevators, including traction, hydraulic, and machine-room-less (MRL) systems

5. Perform load testing and adjust counterweight systems as needed

Commissioning:

1. Execute comprehensive commissioning procedures for new elevator installations

2. Perform thorough testing of all elevator systems, including safety features and emergency operations

3. Prepare detailed commissioning reports and handover documentation

4. Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper elevator shaft preparation and equipment installation

5. Conduct acceptance tests in compliance with UAE regulations and building codes

Motor Maintenance:

1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of elevator motors

2. Perform motor rewinding, bearing replacement, and shaft alignment

3. Implement predictive maintenance techniques using thermal imaging and oil analysis

4. Optimize motor performance for energy efficiency and smooth operation

5. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to motor controllers and drives

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations, including OSHAD and Dubai Municipality requirements

2. Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with technological advancements in elevator systems

3. Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians

4. Respond to emergency calls and perform critical repairs to minimize elevator downtime

5. Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with the maintenance team

6. Collaborate with sales and project management teams for elevator modernization projects

7. Assist in inventory management of elevator parts and components

Qualifications and Experience:

12th Pass minimum Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in elevator maintenance, repair, and installation Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and manuals in English Experience with various elevator control systems (e.g., Otis, KONE, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp, Fuji, Monarch)

Technical Skills:

- Proficient in using advanced diagnostic tools for elevator systems

- Experience with modernization and upgrades of legacy elevator systems

- Competent in using computer-based maintenance management systems

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 kg

- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces such as elevator shafts and machine rooms

- Capable of standing, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods

- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, considering UAE climate and non-air-conditioned spaces

Work Environment:

- Based in Dubai with potential travel to other emirates

- Field work in various buildings

- Shift work required, including nights and weekends

- On-call rotation for emergency elevator repairs

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
