Job Description

Job Purpose

To perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation of all electrical equipment in oil & gas production, processing, and utility areas.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, panels, MCCs, switchgears, transformers, motors, and control circuits. Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing instruments. Perform preventive maintenance activities as per CMMS schedules and report job completion. Support electrical installation and commissioning of new equipment and modifications. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and permit-to-work systems (PTW). Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and spare parts lists. Participate in shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance as required. Collaborate with instrumentation and mechanical teams to ensure integrated plant reliability.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / ITI

in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

5-8 years

of maintenance experience in

Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical industries.

Strong knowledge of LV/MV equipment, control circuits, and protection systems. Familiar with hazardous area classifications (Ex-proof equipment). Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEC / NEC). Basic computer literacy for CMMS reporting.

Skills & Attributes

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Good communication and teamwork. Safety-conscious and quality-oriented mindset.
