To carry out installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and
instrumentation systems and equipment in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner to ensure
uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Duties:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as motors, panels, MCCs,
transformers, lighting systems, and earthing systems.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on LV equipment.
Perform cable laying, termination, glanding, and continuity/insulation resistance testing.
Troubleshoot electrical faults using drawings and test instruments.
Ensure proper lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures before any electrical work.
Maintain electrical equipment in hazardous areas as per Ex standards.
Instrumentation Duties:
Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and
level transmitters.
Perform loop checking, functional testing, and commissioning support.
Maintain control valves, actuators, and positioners.
Troubleshoot PLC/DCS-related field instrument issues.
Calibrate instruments using standard calibration tools and document results.
Safety & Compliance:
Strictly follow HSE procedures, PTW systems, and company safety policies.
Use appropriate PPE at all times.
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses.
Ensure all work complies with international standards and specifications. Documentation &
Reporting:
Maintain maintenance records, test reports, and calibration certificates.
Update as-built drawings as required.
Prepare daily work reports and feedback to supervisors.
Team Coordination:
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians.
Support plant shutdowns and emergency maintenance activities.
Train and assist junior technicians when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Electrical, Instrumentation, or E&I Engineering.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in industrial, oil & gas, power plants, or similar
environments.
Knowledge of PLC, DCS, MCC panels, and process instruments.
Familiar with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ISA).
Valid electrical trade license (if applicable).
Good understanding of hazardous area classifications.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and P&ID drawings.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and able to work in industrial environments.
Willing to work shifts and on-call duties.
Working Conditions:
Site-based work (plant, refinery, offshore/onshore facilities).
Exposure to heat, noise, and hazardous environments.
May require working at heights and in confined spaces
