Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Electrical Inspector

to join our team in

Dubai

. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering consultancy and a solid understanding of

electrical systems in high-rise building projects

. The role involves ensuring compliance with design specifications, local authority regulations, and international standards through diligent site inspections and coordination.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Diploma or

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum

10 years of experience

in electrical inspection, with a strong focus on

high-rise building projects

in a

consultant capacity

. Excellent knowledge of

NEC, IEC, NFPA

, and

UAE/local authority regulations

(e.g., DEWA, DCD). Proven ability to interpret and evaluate

electrical shop drawings

,

method statements

, and

technical submittals

. Proficiency with

inspection tools

,

electrical testing equipment

, and documentation practices. Familiarity with

electrical testing procedures

(e.g., IR, continuity, function testing). Strong written and verbal

communication

and

coordination skills

. Proficient in

MS Office

and

AutoCAD

(preferred). Previous experience working in an

engineering consultancy firm in Dubai

is a

must

.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspections of all electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and applicable codes. Monitor electrical works on-site, ensuring that quality and

safety standards

are consistently upheld. Review and verify

cable routing

,

panel installations

,

earthing systems

,

lighting

,

emergency systems

, and

fire alarm integration

. Witness and document electrical

testing procedures

including insulation resistance, continuity, loop testing, and function testing. Verify that materials delivered to the site align with

approved material submittals

and meet project standards. Identify

non-conformances

, issue

NCRs

, and follow up to ensure corrective actions are taken. Maintain detailed inspection logs, prepare

daily and weekly reports

, and support project documentation. Assist during

testing & commissioning

, and participate in

final inspection and handover processes

. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve site issues efficiently. Attend technical meetings and ensure electrical works are completed as per approved program.
