Monitors and/or evaluates electrical tests such as ground-fault, ground resistance, insulation resistance, polarity, continuity, capacity, load and other electrical field tests as required
Field checks installation and location of electrical equipment, electrical duct, conduit, cable, panels and other components of the electrical system being installed
Maintain daily reports documenting work performed by the contractor
Monitoring all Electrical engineering aspects of the project to ensure compliance with approved and proper standards
Liaising with the other Engineers and Managers to provide support and guidance as required
Monitor the review of the contractor's documents/shop drawings to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any Electrical components or systems
Monitor safety aspects when dealing with Electrical installations
Provide reports on the progress of the Electrical aspects of the project
Provide inspection of electrical equipment installations or modifications, witnesses testing and
Conduct electrical inspections on new and existing electrical installations, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards
Write detailed inspection reports and recommend corrective actions to resolve non-compliant or unsafe electrical installations and systems
Provide technical advice on electrical installation matters to engineers, contractors, and inspectors
Collaborate with other stakeholders, including building inspectors, mechanical inspectors, and fire safety inspectors to ensure compliance with all regulations
Review building plans, specifications, and electrical system designs to ensure adherence to codes and standards
Participate in the development and updating of codes, standards, and guidelines
Monitor trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills related to electrical inspections
