Job Overview
Azizi Developments is seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector to join our dynamic onsite Supervision team based in Dubai. Reporting to the Electrical Manager, the Electrical Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, supervising, and ensuring the compliance of all electrical works according to project specifications, building codes, and relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems including wiring, power distribution, lighting, and associated installations to ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and project specifications
- Review electrical plans, shop drawings, and technical specifications to ensure alignment with regulatory and project standards
- Identify non-conformities, document deficiencies, and recommend corrective measures
- Supervise daily activities of electrical subcontractors and coordinate work to maintain timelines and quality standards
- Ensure the quality of electrical installations and monitor the project timeline and budget compliance
- Enforce and monitor adherence to safety protocols, including PPE usage and safe work practices
- Act as a technical point of contact between site teams, contractors, project managers, and clients
- Resolve technical issues on-site and ensure a smooth project delivery
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and compliance reports
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical inspection and site supervision
- At least 4 years of experience working with consulting firms
- Proficient knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices
- Hands-on experience with large-scale construction projects and complex electrical installations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical project management tools and reporting systems
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
- Strong leadership and team supervision capabilities
- Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- High attention to detail and strong documentation and reporting skills
