Job Description

We are seeking a

detail-oriented Electrical Inspector

to ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of electrical works for a high-end development in Abu Dhabi. The candidate must have a solid background in electrical inspection, testing, and hands-on knowledge of ADDC and local authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections of electrical installations including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV systems, and ensure alignment with approved shop drawings and project specifications.

Review inspection requests, testing procedures, and reports submitted by contractors to validate compliance.

Verify adherence to local authority regulations (e.g., ADDC, Civil Defense) and international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, BS).

Monitor site activities and raise SORs/NCRs for deviations from approved drawings or technical specifications.

Coordinate with design teams and other disciplines to resolve issues and ensure integrated system implementation.

Inspect materials and products to determine whether they meet specified technical performance criteria.

Review IFA, IFC, and As-Built drawings and ensure documentation accurately reflects site installations.

Observe and document testing during different stages, as well as commissioning procedures.

Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, rejections, and corrective actions, and submit reports to the project team.

Support the Resident Engineer to oversee quality control procedures on-site.

Participate in project handover activities, including preparing O&M manuals and final snag lists.

Ensure site safety compliance during inspection and testing operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in electrical inspections within an MEP consultancy or construction supervision environment.

Strong understanding of ADDC regulations and applicable local/international standards.

Experience with testing, measuring instruments, and electrical QA/QC processes.

Excellent communication and reporting skills, with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
