Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Aluminium Smelter Brownfield Projects

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in Aluminium Smelter Brownfield projects and thorough knowledge of EGA safety procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising electrical construction activities on-site, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and coordination among multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise multiple electrical construction projects on-site within the Aluminium Smelter Brownfield area. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of electricians, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality workmanship. Collaborate closely with contractor engineering and project teams to evaluate, plan, and implement upgrades, modifications, or replacements of electrical and automation equipment. Apply knowledge of Reduction Potlines, crane systems, and associated electrical equipment to project tasks. Review and provide technical guidance on fabrication, shop drawings, and material submittals submitted by contractors. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality and progress of electrical and mechanical installations. Ensure compliance with EGA safety standards and quality requirements on all assigned projects. Manage safety and quality control aspects of the project throughout the execution phase.

Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Proven experience in contract and project management, especially in heavy industrial or aluminium smelter environments. Hands-on experience managing electrical construction projects on-site. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of Reduction Potlines, crane systems, and electrical/automation equipment. Familiarity with EGA safety procedures and quality control standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
