Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Electrical Engineer

to join our CAPEX Reduction team for a brownfield aluminium smelter project. The ideal candidate must have

prior experience at EGA (Emirates Global Aluminium)

, be well-versed in

EGA safety procedures

, and possess strong knowledge of

electrical systems in Reduction Potlines and associated equipment

.

This role involves site-based execution, technical oversight, and collaboration with contractors to ensure project delivery meets EGA's standards in

safety, quality, and schedule

.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage electrical construction and modification activities at the smelter site. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with

EGA HSE procedures

and project safety requirements. Collaborate with contractors and cross-functional teams to implement upgrades, modifications, or replacements of electrical/automation systems. Lead and coordinate with electricians, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to maintain high work standards. Review fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals, providing technical feedback and approvals. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure construction quality, adherence to specifications, and safety compliance. Manage project documentation, progress tracking, and reporting to stakeholders. Provide technical input on crane systems, power distribution, and Potline electrical systems. Support project cost control, schedule adherence, and quality assurance goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree or Diploma in

Electrical Engineering

.

Minimum 5-8 years

of experience in industrial electrical project execution, preferably in

brownfield aluminium smelter environments

. Proven knowledge of

EGA site safety procedures and standards

. Strong experience in

contract and project management

. Familiarity with

Reduction Potlines, crane systems

, and related infrastructure. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation. Skilled in coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and managing multiple site activities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
