Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Draftsman to produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable layouts, and panel layouts for our solar project. You will work closely with electrical engineers and design leads to convert conceptual designs into accurate technical drawings, ensuring they comply with standards, codes, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Create and revise electrical drawings (single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, conduit runs, panel schedules) Work with AutoCAD Electrical, Sketch up, or similar CAD tools Interpret electrical engineering inputs (specs, calculations, single-line diagrams) and translate into detail drawings Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, civil) to integrate electrical layout Ensure drawings comply with relevant electrical codes, standards, and best practices Prepare bill of materials, wiring schedules, and equipment lists as needed Review and incorporate feedback / redline revisions from engineers

Qualifications & Skills

Required

Diploma, certificate, or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or related field Proven experience as an electrical draftsman, ideally in renewable energy or industrial projects Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or equivalent CAD software Good understanding of electrical systems (power distribution, wiring, grounding, protection) Attention to detail and strong drafting accuracy Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changes Good communication skills; ability to coordinate across disciplines

Preferred / Advantageous

Experience with solar PV electrical design Familiarity with local electrical codes and standards Experience working on infrastructure or utility projects Maintain drawing files, naming conventions, version control

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
