Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Electrical Designer to join our UAE-based engineering team, supporting the FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design phases of offshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in offshore electrical design with Saudi Aramco project experience and strong proficiency in S3D (Smart 3D).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and develop electrical design deliverables such as single line diagrams, cable routing layouts, lighting and earthing layouts, termination diagrams, and installation details for offshore platforms.
• Support engineering activities across all project phases FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design.
• Generate 2D and 3D models using Smart 3D (S3D) and integrate electrical layouts with other discipline models (piping, structure, instrumentation).
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards, international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC), and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and other design disciplines to develop accurate and clash-free design deliverables.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO), cable schedules, and support construction and procurement documentation.
• Participate in model reviews, inter-discipline coordination meetings, and design verification processes.
• Assist in resolving design-related queries from procurement, construction, and offshore teams.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8-15 years of experience in electrical design for offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven experience working on Saudi Aramco offshore projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D) is required; experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of offshore electrical systems including lighting, earthing, cable tray design, and hazardous area classification.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and meet tight project deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, quality, and document control.
