Based in the UAE our Infrastructure and Utilities division is looking for a BIM Modeler, to join our team. As a BIM Modeler you will be exposed to all aspects of a BIM project (BIM Modeling, Model Administration, Documentation, Scheduling, Library Creation, etc.) and is expected to quickly gain the necessary working knowledge of project guidelines, processes, and techniques to BIM projects profitably, meeting the time, resources, and budget objectives of the project. You have the ability to provide project teams with 2D and 3D drafting and modelling support. You will be able to demonstrate experience in Revit modelling which can be across multiple disciplines whilst showcasing your proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Infraworks and BIM 360. You will ideally have experience working on CAD and BIM Modeling ideally within a consultancy setting. You will be in a position to generate Revit based families and work sets to suit Project requirement. You will be responsible to develop BIM models for Electrical, ICA and ELV services from design stage to as-built stage and coordinating between all other services. You will be involved in preparation of bill of quantities, Work sets creation to suit Project requirement and Single line diagram as per standards.
You will be involved in preparation of Electrical and ELV BIM Models with various level of detailing and produce drawings using the Autodesk Suite of software, with the necessary level of detail as required for MEP engineering projects at various stages of development: studies, conceptual design, detailed design, and construction. You will have autonomy in producing Revit primarily for Electrical and ICA/ELV systems including power, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, Cable Containments, ICT, Security, Fire alarm, Containment, Audio Visual, telecom, Instrumentation, other specialist ICA/ELV systems as assigned. This is a great opportunity where you can endeavor to display your understanding of BIM Template, BIM Standard, workflow, and processes. You will be in position to provide support in BIM modeling and design, also will be responsible for coordination of MEP services. Preparing the drawings from BIM, of Power, Lighting, Central battery-based Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm, Telephone, CCTV & Access Control System layout, etc. Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:
As a successful candidate you will have either a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical or a Diploma. You will be in a position to demonstrate a deep interest in learning new skills and knowledge, with positive attitude towards collaboration and knowledge sharing. If you have experience working in the gulf region in particular the UAE and KSA that would be an advantage. This is good opportunity to undertake model authoring using BIM tools and extracting drawings and quantities from BIM models, performing Clash Detections and Visual Walkthroughs (CDVW) in Navisworks.
You will be proficient in local industry BIM Initiatives and internationally recognized BIM initiatives, standards, protocols, and mandates like BS1192 and ISO19650, with ability to resolve BIM design issues Co-ordination with the Architect / Structural team on MEP requirements. You will be able to display your competency in drawing/model management systems (BIM 360 Docs, Aconex, ProjectWise) whilst having knowledge of Civil 3D and integration of Revit with Civil 3D is a plus, to support infrastructure projects for preparation of power and telecom network layouts.
You will be accomplished in Autodesk software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit- Electrical Modeling & Drafting and have experience working on CAD and BIM Modeling. Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) Certification would be an advantage Jacobs. A world where you can.
