Job Summary: This position is responsible for performing ECG tests on patients of all ages and operating and maintaining ECG machines and equipment
Primary Duties:

• Performs ECG tests on patients
• Escorts patients into treatment room and transports equipment to patient's bedside
• Explains test procedures to patient and answers questions
• Applies electrode tabs and electrodes to patient's chest and limbs and removes upon test completion
• Ensures that rooms are stocked with linens and machine supplies
• Maintains cleanliness in treatment rooms
• Operates electrocardiograph machines to record electromotive variations
• Inputs patient demographic data into computer
• Charts preliminary report in patient's medical record
• Documents applicable notes on ECG records and reconciles master log and requisitions

• Minimum of two (2) years experience as an ECG technician is required
• Completion of a two (2) year certificate or diploma program in Medical Sciences or Allied Health, with evidence of formal ECG training, is required
