What you\'ll do

You\'ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

• You will be responsible for directly managing, supporting, and providing guidance and leadership to the Supervisors and Technicians to support the growth and development of Engineering Team members and to make sure efficient day-to-day operations, maintenance and repair of all guest rooms, technical systems within the hotel as well as to coordinate renovation projects. You will ensure the energy conservation, operation and maintenance of plantrooms, guestrooms and equipment, preventive maintenance schedules and engineering maintenance requests and new work orders are performed and correctly recorded to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• You\'ll also implements strictly the preventive maintenance of all guestrooms and public areas according to the company standards and implement strictly the preventive maintenance of all equipment and machineries according to the company standards manufacturer\'s recommendation and in line with local authorities\' requirements. Ensure coordination with operating departments in the implementation of repair and maintenance schedule.

• You will comply with the departmental/corporate SOP & LSOP. Will ensure implementation of Dorchester Collection Policies, Standards and Procedures in relation to Engineering fairly and consistently. Will be aware of all existing departmental job safety analysis and strive to work in an accident-free manner and to create a safe working environment for self and for others.

What you\'ll bring

• You\'ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team. High school diploma or similar qualification. Technical Trade Course Certificate in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanics/HVAC-R or related. Technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/Mechanical/plumbing.
• At least 6 years\' progressive experience in facility management with minimum 3 years in international 5-star Hotel luxury brand. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a Duty Engineer or similar role. Successful Pre-opening experience records.
• You have a talent for a good understanding of maintenance inventory and install, repair electrical and mechanical systems, pipe assemblies, electronic wiring fittings. You are able to determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Advance knowledge of rooms preventive maintenance and you desire to deliver consistent quality based on required standard. Analytical & critical thinking skills. Able to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process. Excellent attention to details. Ability to meet deadlines and to prioritize and organize work assignments.
• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
• English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
