Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and architects to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings.
Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D models, enhancing visualization and understanding of project layouts.
Conduct site surveys and measurements to gather data necessary for drafting and design purposes.
Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders, ensuring timely updates.
Maintain organized documentation of drawings and revisions, facilitating easy access and project tracking.
Understand and apply local building codes and regulations to ensure compliance in all designs.
Assist in the preparation of project estimates, providing detailed drawings that support cost evaluations.
Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions, fostering teamwork.
Stay updated on industry trends and software advancements to continuously enhance drafting skills.
Desired Candidate Profile
A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering,
Architecture, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools is crucial for producing high-quality drawings.A minimum of 4-5 years of work experience in civil drafting,
preferably in construction or infrastructure projects. Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes is highly desirable for modern project workflows. Familiarity with local construction codes and regulations ensures compliance and reduces project risks. Strong attention to detail is imperative for producing accurate and precise technical drawings. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, facilitate effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to manage time efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
