Prepare precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings--including shop drawings, layout plans, cross-sections, and profiles--for infrastructure and utility networks such as roads, drainage, sewerage, water, firefighting, and LV/MV systems.
Translate design sketches, IFC drawings, and engineering markups into high-quality, construction-ready outputs.
Engineering Coordination & Compliance
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawings reflect accurate site conditions and adhere to project standards.
Implement revisions based on technical feedback and update drawing documentation accordingly.
Documentation & Data Control
Maintain organized CAD file systems--ensure version control, revision logs, and proper archival of all technical documents.
Support creation of as-built drawings, tender documentation, and submissions for local authority approvals (e.g., NOCs) when needed.
Quality Assurance & Standards Enforcement
Verify that all drawing deliverables comply with TE&C's internal CAD guidelines, project specifications, and relevant local regulations.
Conduct drawing quality checks to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
Site Verification & Support
Perform occasional site visits to validate dimensions, ground realities, and ensure alignment between drawings and actual execution conditions.
Provide responsive drafting support for technical queries raised during execution.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience:
3-7 years of experience in a similar drafting role within the GCC (especially UAE), preferably focused on infrastructure and utilities projects (roads, sewer, drainage, water systems, LV/MV networks)
Technical Expertise:
Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to produce precise, reliable, and error-free drawings.
Communication & Teamwork: Effective collaboration with engineering, QA/QC, and site teams.
Organizational Skills: Proficient at managing multiple tasks, maintaining documentation, and adhering to deadlines.
